Thanks for coming to the Montclair YMCA Tryouts.

Listed below are the placements from the tryouts.

A few notes:

Junior officially starts tomorrow along with Senior with a modified practice schedule which is posted on the mainpage of the website

Intro, Novice and Prep begin on Monday 9/21 on the day that your group meets - Micro, Mini, Little Dolphins and Stroke of Genius first day will be Sunday 9/27. Also on that day we have the Developmental Group Meetings at 2:20.

If you did not fill out the informational forms correctly and we could not put you in the computer we did not place you

Payment number 1 is due before the first practice

All athletes will be placed on one of the following teams for meets : Girls A, Girls B, Girls B/H, Boys A, Boys B or Coed Home Team

All athletes will want to be on our e-mail list – in order to be on the e-mail list you must e-mail your name to jpsiegelnj@aol.com

If your name is spelled wrong in this list let Jon know ASAP! We will ask you to check the team roster in a few weeks once everyone is on the e-mail list as well.

Lastly our team information is about 95% website based – if you are not checking the website about 2 times a week you WILL NOT KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON.

Please arrive 15 mins early for tryout registration on the large pool balcony at the beginning of each time slot. NO LATE COMERS. Each swimmer will be allowed to attend one tryout session. Y membership is not required for tryouts but is required to be on the team.

What to expect at try-outs:

Arrive early and register on the pool balcony, ready to swim.

There will be a 15 minute warm up period that the coaches will conduct

Swimmers will be asked to participate in some time trials as per the following grid - we will attempt to get in all four strokes if time permits.

Notification of placement will be made by Monday 9/14/09. We will post this information on the tryout page of the website.

We will do our best to place each willing participant into one of the many aquatic programs at the Montclair YMCA where we try to provide an appropriate experience for swimmers at every level.

Once placed, in order to guarantee your spot you must register with Faith Mazur, by 9/20/09.
